Garolyn Cornelius Hector, is a humble, friendly, loyal and dedicated individual who has the ambition to succeed in any given environment. She is a lifelong learner even though she has quite an extensive array of experience and education. She enjoys challenges and never gives up defeated. She gets along well with others but also works well on her own. Her mantra in life is, “To do her best Always”.
Ms. Hector experienced her second birth December 30th 1990. She loves the Lord and is called to a life of service. She is blessed with many attributes and has served in every capacity in the church. She enjoys working with young people as nurturing and caring emanates from to her. She grabs the opportunity to deposit positives into developing lives, and focuses on being that agent of change never settling for mediocracy. She is married and a mother of three.
Her professional experience includes working at various restaurant and hotels. Fifteen years of teaching both primary and secondary schools. Counselling youth at risk and currently manages a residential, rehabilitation centre for juvenile boys. She sits on the local coordinating committee for Juvenile Justice Reform. Does consultancy for UNICEF and OECSC. She has facilitated many trainings and workshops for juvenile justice. She advocates for justice and good governance and is a member of the advocacy group known as The Movement.
Her service within the church has also spanned various ministries. She is currently the State Youth, Education and Discipleship Director, Sunday school superintendent and board member in her local church. Ms. Hector desires to be in God’s perfect will as she continues to follow his leading.
In her limited free time, you will find her reading, cooking, spending time at the beach and involved in family activities. She also enjoys nature, travelling and experiencing new cultures and food.
